Comments: I went to the free salsa dance class that’s offered on Saturday nights at their Park Slope dance studio,  right before their Salsa/Latin/Hustle Party.  It was great.  The teacher didn’t rush it,  and they had many assistants helping out. The salsa social after was nice too.  Iv’e been to many Brooklyn dance schools and this is the best.

Tango Dance Lessons Testimonials:

Comments: I have been going to the  Mill Basin dance studio for about six months and I really love it. People are friendly and unpretentious;  which is very important when you learn how to dance. I am now taking Argentine Tango private lessons with Francis;  and I must say, it is great. You not only learn perfect tango technique,  but also you learn how to listen to the music.  Most importantly, he brings the best out of you.

Comments: I’ve been taking Argentine tango classes for a couple of months, and I find the teacher (Francis) awesome. He knows how to break it down to make it easy for anybody to learn. It’s a great place to learn how  to tango dance, especially if you have problems with dancing. You’ll come out of there satisfied and able to dance the tango. The only thing I don’t like is the fact that you have to pay to come to the practicas.  It’s a time for students to practice what they’ve learned and they should not be charged. Rather ask them to pay if they’re bringing someone else and also ask them to bring a dish for the tango practica.  I’m sure they’ll have no problem with that.  Also,  they should continue to have the $100 special every month.

Comments: The teachers at the studio are great. They make learning ballroom dancing fun and easy.  I look forward to coming each week and learning a new ballroom dance.  So far, we have done waltz, tango, fox trot and swing.  I feel like I am learning the way professionals do and that makes it even more interesting.  Dance Fever Rocks!  The best of the Brooklyn dance schools.

Comments:  I love this studio.  I enrolled my 12 year old daughter in one of their adult Latin dance classes, thinking she would feel out of place and not like it, but the teachers and everyone was so friendly, she loved it.  The classes are mixed mostly adults, but some teens and younger.  This is a great way to teach dance.

Comments: I took the Latin beginner adult dance class with my husband, who has two left feet, and by the end of our first class he has the basic down packed like a pro. Now thats skills, the teacher is awesome. I tried teaching him at home and NOTHING,  but one bachata dance class and he has them on point.  I personally love dancing so I look forward to dance classes each week.  We come from Staten Island.  Was surprised it’s  only 15 minute trip over the bridge.   Can’t wait to return next week for the cha cha class. I live in the city and I’ve tried several studios (ex: Dance Manhattan, Dance Times Square, Stepping Out), but DSF is my favorite. I happily make the trek to Brooklyn for  salsa classes, hustle dance lessons and the fabulous month-end parties. I’ve taken Salsa on 1 and Hustle. My Salsa is stronger than my hustle, but that’s my fault. I don’t get much practice, but I feel like I’ve learned a lot about technique and style. The primary instructor is GREAT. He’s very charismatic, fun to dance with and has a relaxed instructional style. If you are looking for a studio THAT IS NOT FILLED with a bunch of tight-bodied, pretentious show-offs, who will make you feel self-conscience and embarrassed that you’re even there, then this is the place for you. DSF is great for beginners, advance beginners, intermediate dancers, regular folks who want to take up a new hobby and married women who can’t convince their husbands dance with them. A good mix of people show up and are usually very friendly. The studio is quaint but nice. The music selection is awesome. Parking is kind of a drag, with limited spots available. Although, I usually find a spot in five minutes or less. I really like DSF and if the owner ever opens a spot in Manhattan, I’ll be the first to enroll (and will convince everyone I know to go there).

I strongly encourage people from all parts of NY to come out and see what DFS is all about. You’ll be happy you did.

Keep up the good work D.F.S.

Comments: I come from Staten Island to take salsa lessons at Dance Fever.   It’s such a great studio.  Friendly teachers who really know how to teach and not just dance.  I thought it would be a trip all the way into Brooklyn, but it isn’t that far over the bridge.  It take me only ten minutes to get there once I get over the bridge.   Parking is very easy too.  If you are having trouble finding a place for salsa classes in Staten Island I recommend going to Dance Fever in Brooklyn.  You won’t be disappointed.
